Hike-in / paddle-in campsite Moses Creek Conservation Area features 7 miles of blazed trails and offers a variety of recreational opportunities, including hiking, off-road bicycling, primitive tent-only camping, equestrian access, wildlife viewing, fishing and photography. The Murats Point tent-only campsite at Moses Creek Conservation Area overlooks Moses Creek from a beautiful bluff. This reservation-required hike-in primitive campsite may be reached on foot, by bicycle or, during high tide, by canoe or kayak. Reaching Murats Point is a 5.7-mile hike each way from either the West or East trailhead parking areas. No motorized vehicles are permitted to access the Murats Point campsite. RVs and campers, ATVs, UTVs and dirt bikes are prohibited at Moses Creek Conservation Area at all times. Moses Creek is popular with kayakers who wait for high tide to explore the creek as it winds its way through tall marsh grasses. Note, there are no boat or kayak launches located on the property. Paddling and boating are available via the nearby Matanzas River. Maximum occupancy at the campsite is six people. Maximum length of stay is 7 consecutive days. Reservations are required and must be made at least 48 hours in advance and may be made up to 90 days in advance.
