Drive-in tent-only campsite The Longleaf Flatwoods Reserve's drive-in campsite is located in a live oak hammock between well-maintained sandhill and mesic flatwoods ecosystems. Popular recreational activities at this property include hiking, bicycling, horseback riding, primitive tent camping and wildlife viewing. Longleaf Flatwoods Reserve features a variety of upland and wetland ecosystems that can be viewed from the trail systems. The campsite is equipped with a fire ring, benches, a covered pavilion with a picnic table, and a non-potable water pitcher pump. The camp area stays dry in most weather, with a good road going to the site. Popular recreational activities at this property include hiking, bicycling, horseback riding and wildlife viewing. Longleaf Flatwoods features a variety of upland and wetland ecosystems that can be viewed from the trail systems. Only primitive tent camping is allowed. Recreational vehicles (including but not limited to motorhomes, camper vans, truck campers, pop-up campers, or any trailer or vehicle with sleeping quarters) are prohibited at the campsite or parked overnight on District lands. Camping reservations are required a full 48 hours in advance and may be made up to 90 days in advance. All vehicles at the campsite must be listed on the reservation and vehicle permit. Vehicle make, model and license plate number of vehicles (maximum four) are required at time of booking. The campsite gate access is located approximately 2 miles south of State Road 20 on the west side of County Road 325. The gate is about 200 feet north of the trailhead parking area on County Road 325.
