Drive-in tent-only campsite Located in a shaded oak hammock, this drive-in campsite is equipped with a fire ring with grill attachment, benches, a covered pavilion with one picnic table, and plenty of tent space. This campsite has a non-potable water pitcher pump and a nearby portable toilet. The campsite is within a short distance of the Lemon Bluff trailhead. Gate access is located on the south side of Lemon Bluff Road, approximately a half mile east of Highway 415 (Tucker Road is on the north side of Lemon Bluff Road). District lands are wild, natural areas with few amenities, and only tent camping is allowed. Recreational vehicles (including but not limited to motorhomes, camper vans, truck campers, pop-up campers, or trailers or vehicles with sleeping quarters, etc.) are prohibited at the campsite and may not be parked overnight on District lands. Vehicle make, model and license plate numbers are required at time of booking for all vehicles accessing the campsite. Recreational activities at the Lake Monroe Conservation Area include fishing, hiking, bicycling, horseback riding and wildlife viewing. Seasonal hunting is allowed on the property's Kratzert Tract, a Wildlife Management Area (WMA). Boaters and paddlers can access the conservation area but there are no launches located onsite. Advance reservations are required and must be made at least 48 hours in advance and may be made online up to 90 days in advance. Maximum occupancy is 24 people.
