Drive-in tent-only campsite The J.P. Hall Bayard Point Conservation Area features 7 miles of riverfront on its eastern border. Located in Clay County, this conservation area is a wild, natural area with one drive-in tent-only campsite located in Area 3 of the property. The drive-in campsite has a picnic table, benches, fire ring and non-potable water pitcher pump. There are no restroom facilities at the campsite. Advance reservations are required and must be made a full 48 hours in advance and may be made up to 90 days in advance. Recreational activities at J.P. Hall Bayard Point include bank fishing, hiking, bicycling, horseback riding and wildlife viewing. Boaters and paddlers may access the conservation area from the St. Johns River but there are no launches located on the property. Gate access for the drive-in campsite is on the south side of County Road 226 (just west of the railroad tracks), approximately 3 miles south of Green Cove Springs via Highway 17. Vehicle make, model and license plate number are required for any vehicle accessing the campsite. The reservable campsite is within a Wildlife Management Area (WMA).
