Haystack Reservoir

Haystack Reservoir West Shore Campground is a scenic, high desert campground and day use area located on the western shore of Haystack Reservoir. There are a total of 16 campsites (limit six people per site, including children), day use parking areas, restrooms, camp hosts and a boat ramp. Also available are three South Shore Group Sites which accommodate up to 50 people and 25 vehicles per site. From March to October, the reservoir is used to store and regulate delivery of irrigation water to users in the North Unit Irrigation District. Water is present yearlong but may be iced over in cold winters. A viewing and fishing platform over the water is located on the North Shore near the dam. The campground is open March 1st through October 31st. Campground hosts do not make reservations, but are always available to campers for assistance, including purchasing firewood, ice, worms, or registration.
