Drive-in tent-only campsite Shaded underneath an oak canopy on the outskirts of pine flatwoods, this popular tent-only campsite has a covered pavilion with a picnic table and ample space for several tents. Located at 4500 Dallas Blvd., Orlando, the Hal Scott Regional Preserve and Park is in the Wedgefield neighborhood, between state roads 520 and 528. Often called an oasis in the rapidly growing Orlando area, the property is a favorite for its trails used for hiking, horseback riding and bicycling. The reservable drive-in campsite is in an area off the main trail and is equipped with a portable toilet (shared with other visitors during the daytime), a non-potable water pitcher pump, and a fire ring with a grill attachment. Benches surround the firepit. Reservations are required at this campsite. Reservations must be made at least 48 hours in advance and may be made up to 90 days in advance. Up to four passenger vehicles are allowed at the campsite if listed on the reservation and vehicle permit. V ehicle make, model and license plate numbers are required when making a reservation. RVs, including but not limited to motorhomes, van campers, truck campers and travel trailers, are prohibited at the campsite and may not park overnight in District parking areas.
