Curwensville lake campground and recreation area offers a peaceful, family friendly escape nestled along the scenic shores of the Susquehanna river in Curwensville, Clearfield county, Pennsylvania. Operated by the Curwensville Lake Authority, the campground and recreation area is open seasonally from April 1st through November 1st, providing visitors with the perfect blend of natural beauty, recreation, and relaxation. With 135 camsites ranging from primitive tent sites to RV-friendly spots, as well as three cozy cabins. The campground accomodates a wide range of preferences. Each site includes a fire ring and picnic table and select sites offer easy access to modern restrooms and showers. Guests can enjoy a variety of amenities and activities, including: Disc golf, cornhole, sand volleyball courts, and horseshoe pits 6 playgrounds located throughout the recreation area Watercraft rentals for kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding, and pedal boats There are 16 miles of hiking/walking trails and a designated swimming area Season long boat mooring both in water and out of water 5 pavilions available for day-use rentals and gatherings Curwensville lake is also a flood control lake, with protocols in place for visitor safety. The campground is managed by a dedicated team including a park manager, office manager, store staff and grounds/maintenance crew who ensure the facility remains safe, clean, and welcoming. Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM, pets are welcome as long as they are leashed at all times.
