Drive-in tent-only campsite Black Creek Ravines Conservation Area's most distinctive characteristics are the seepage slopes and steep ravines that result from a series of naturally eroding seepage streams. These sensitive ecosystems support a wide variety of native aquatic and wetland-dependent species. This drive-in campsite is accessed through a gate located at the northern dead-end of Green Road, off County Road 218, approximately 2 miles southeast of Middleburg. This campsite is located behind a security residence on the western side of the property; it is not waterfront. Amenities at the campsite include a picnic table, fire ring, benches, and a non-potable water pitcher pump. Reservations are required and must be made at least 48 hours in advance and may be made up to 90 days in advance. Vehicle makes, models and license plate numbers of all vehicles accessing the campsite are required when booking the campsite. Recreational activities on the property include hiking, horseback riding, fishing, wildlife viewing and nature study. Boating and canoeing opportunities are available on Black Creek, and the conservation area is accessible by water; however, no launches are located on the property. Bicycles are not allowed on Black Creek Ravines because of sensitive ecosystems on the property. ATVs, UTVs and dirt bikes are prohibited on District lands. Recreational vehicles (RVs), including but not limited to motorhomes, camper vans, truck campers, travel trailers, etc., are prohibited at our campsites and are not allowed to park overnight in our parking areas.
